The date of Cowchilla is May 18 2024.  Which is, of course, also World Whiskey Day.  But you knew that.  

Wellllllll if you know, you know.  And if you don't, and you want to attend, RSVP and we'll get it to ya. But it's on a beautiful provite ranch in the rolling hills of Petaluma.  

There is no charge per se for Cowchilla.  But the whole point, besides having a great day of music, food and libation - is to support the local volunteer fire dept (WILMAR).  So cash donations, Venmo or Paypal donations are encouraged.  

It's fun.  Great music,  Great food.  Super cool peeps in the best possible frame of mind.  Kids running around.  Dogs. Sunshine. HorseShoe tournament. Green grass.  Rolling hills.  Blue Sky.  Civility.  Laughter.  Fellowship. Seems like, these days, we could all use more of that.  Oh and see above, about the WILMAR Firefighters.

Returning to our hazardous stage are Freeloader and DirtySpoon.  And we're thrilled to be joined for the first time by the Puckett Family Project.  And, as if that isn't enough, there may or may not be a very special guest 5th Grade Band that is going to rock your world. 

Well for starters we don't really like your tone.  But beyond that - we are stoked to welcome back the excellent dudes from True Story Foods for a heap of grilled excellence, as well as the guys from Lost Republic Distillery who will be bringing their amazing Bourbon, and possibly a brand new product we can't talk about yet but rhymes with Shmequila.  Also returing for their third year are the wildly talented cider masters from Ethic Ciders as well as the lovable brew bros from State Room Brewery.  And rounding out our lineup, returning for their 2nd year is Troxel Family Wines.  

Can we just take a minute and contemplate that all the above - True Story Foods, Lost Republic Distillery, Ethic Ciders, State Room Brewery and Troxel Family WInes - these folks are giving up their time, and donating their excellent products to make this happen.  Insert Heart Emoji Here Dammit.

we kid, we kid.  Yes we love dogs.  Particularly well behaved ones.  With owners that clean up after them.  so yes.

We don't know what you're talking about. Why do you ask?  We don't know anything about a cease & desist from a certain giant music festival that profited 100 million dollars last year but was threatened by us.  

That's fair.  But c'mon.  Can you blame us?  We're just doing our quiet little thing ... trying to put some good into the world ... and then getting served legal notices by BIG MUSIC.  We were angry at first.  But we really worked on our breathing and focused on the cool people and killer vibe that  has become Cowchilla and we moved on.  Well except for the passive aggressive / vindictive stunts we've incorporated into this years event.   

That's a great question.  

Who doesn't love a Horseshoe Tourney??  Yesss!   We thought to ourselves - 'what does cowchilla need this year?' - and then at the same time we all shouted out "Giant pieces of flying iron near small children!!!"  so yea.  but we'll make it safe.  10 bucks a head to play, all proceeds to the firefighters. 

How about a photobooth?  

And not just any photobooth.  But a photo-booth who's backdrop is a large version of ...say...oh I dunno ....maybe a certain aforementioned Cease and Desist letter???   Dunno pricing yet ... will be a few shekels ... but proceeds to go to (you guessed it) the WilMar Fire House.

We can only hope.  Well - hope and pray.  Hope and pray and ... I guess bribe.  So to review, we will hope, pray and bribe Terry to come.  

We will indeed.  Stronger, better trained, more agile, much better at following direction and confidently headed off to college immediately following this years event. 

The Jambassadors are there to help make the day awesome.  So that might mean shuttling you from the parking area to camp ... it might mean showing you where the bathrooms are ... helping our beloved Sponsors with ice or hauling ... or simply encouraging folks to dance.  We believe the children are our future.  Teach them well and let them lead the way.  Show them all the beauty they possess inside.  That sort of thing.  

Cool?  That part is really in the eye of the beholder.  But thanks for saying they've been cool.  We will certainly do a shirt again this year.
